Responsible for securing consulting assignments and delivering services in the areas of computer information systems, IS Management, computer hardware and software efficiencies and the overall communications function of organizations.  Additional assignment duties include process development, training and budgeting of individual projects.

 

(1990 to 1995 - Consulting)

·        American Express (multiple locations) – document imaging, online catalog system, main-frame communications

·        Lancaster Steel – system enhancements that reduced costs and increased efficiency on a requisition/accounts payable/shipping and record-keeping function

·        Insurance Exchange of the Americas – developed format and process for Annual Financial Reports

·        Signaware – supported and enhanced the general record-keeping and the registrar programs for voter registration system

 

(1983 to1987 - Consulting)

·        National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) – directed main-frame linkage with personal computer systems, including networking and telecommunications, for regional processing centers

Head of Systems Services / Chief Information Officer

 

Responsible for the integrity and delivery of information and data for all information/telecommunications service functions.  Directed the reporting and compliance information for the FAA maintenance facility and provided leadership and management for all the information processing and communications (telephony, telecommunications, PBX) activities.  Areas of supervision included: budgets, personnel, training, production scheduling, help desk, storage and retrieval, computer equipment and software and all communication networks.

 

·        Managed the acquisition and implementation of a new NT server network

·        Structured and implemented the acquisition of main-frame/server hardware

·        Developed and purchased a PBX voice and data system

·        Designed a Time-Costing system saving over 400 weekly hours and substantially reduced data input error

·        Secured a T-1 line and integrated it with Internet communication network saving over $3,000 per month

·        Implemented a security methodology minimizing access rights and securing confidentiality

Responsible for 20 direct reports and served as member of the Senior Executive Management Committee.  Developed IT/IS strategic plans and implemented various computer programs for financial and record-keeping processes.
